Terms of service

These terms govern the use of Claim Monitor (the "Service"), provided by REPLACE_ME Company name, REPLACE_ME Street 1, REPLACE_ME 8000 Zürich, Switzerland ("we"). By installing the app you accept them.

1. The Service

The Service scans the text of a Shopify store for environmental claims that may be restricted under Directive (EU) 2024/825 and related law, monitors changes, and lets you record evidence for the claims you keep. It is a tool to support your own compliance work.

2. No legal advice

Findings, severities and suggested rewrites are automated indications based on wording. They are not legal advice and do not guarantee that a text is lawful or unlawful. You remain responsible for your store's content and for any claim you publish.

3. Plans and payment

A free plan scans a limited number of products. The paid plan costs EUR 10 per month, billed through Shopify, charged to your Shopify account under Shopify's billing terms, and can be cancelled at any time by uninstalling the app. Prices exclude VAT where applicable.

4. Your obligations

You must have the right to grant the app access to your store, keep your Shopify credentials secure, and not use the Service to process data unlawfully or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer it.

5. Availability and changes

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice, and update the rules the Service applies as the law and its interpretation evolve.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by Swiss law, our liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or regulatory fines arising from content you publish. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Data protection

Our privacy policy forms part of these terms.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Place of jurisdiction is the seat of REPLACE_ME Company name, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules that give you another forum.
